First up I’ll skip you straight to yesterday’s highlight, this giant animated robot statue:
It’s from the anime series Gundam and it was genuinely impressive to have the series brought to life in this way.
I skipped to that because yesterday was fun but, apart from the robot, not a very photogenic day. We went to the Odaiba District on Tokyo bay and most of my photos are of the interesting city and street scapes along the way.
We took the U line of the metro, which is the an elevated train and it was a lovely way to see some of Tokyo.

Arriving at Odaiba we had a ten minute walk to the robot, and there was a surprising number of sights that were pretty, or pretty strange.

Then we arrived at our destination, the robot.

After watching it change modes and briefly checking out the nearby shopping centre we headed to the Museum of the Future. This is similar to the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, but more dramatic with lots of interactive robots and light displays.

We had thought we might do some wandering around the bay area, but we were tired and so headed back to the hotel. We got an early night in order to be up at 6 to start our journey to Mount Fuji.
